è stata rilasciata la versione 0.6.1 di firebird e contemporaneamente (in realtà è stata solo annunciata contemporaneamente, ma rilasciata con qualche giorno di anticipo) la versione 0.1 di thunderbird, il mail client che sostituirà mozilla mail.

è stata rilasciata la versione 5.6 di awstats il famoso analizzatore di log per webserver. Questa versione presenta tra le nuove features la possibilità di utilizzare uno script esterno per analizzare il profilo del browser degli utenti (risoluzione, plug-in installati, etc).

è stata rilasciata la versione 6 beta di eudora, il mitico client mail di Qualcomm. Tra le novità di questa release:

Spam-Fighting Tools. (Windows and Macintosh) A whole suite of ready-to-use tools to stamp out unwanted junk mail. SMTP Relay Personality. (Windows and Macintosh) Many ISPs now insist that you send mail only through their SMTP server, even if you have accounts at other places. Eudora now makes this easy to do.

Format Painter. (Coming soon to Windows only) Easily copy fonts & styles from one place to another in your mail.

Mailboxes Drawer. (Macintosh only) Macintosh OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) users now have a convenient way to access their list of mailboxes from any mailbox window.
